I’m about to reach my limits on this WordPress mess. I mean, look at #4254 on wordpress.org trac, particularly comment #30 onwards, then read wank’s commentary, especially the 65 comments that follow.
Or, if that’s water under the bridge, look at this post entitled How Matt Mullenweg and Automattic deals with complaints. Yes, drmike might be biased since he’s at the ugly end of the stick, but there’s significant fact in there.
Time to extract a backup, then scout for a new platform.

Thanks for the pointer. I might go back to self-hosting my blog soon, then at least I can switch templates and perhaps platforms with impunity.. of course, with enough redirect magic

Matt, could you please follow your own advise? I don’t know about others but I know that I get tired of your “Do as I say, not as I do” attitude. Thanks for the insult by the way where you go out of your way to respond to someone else’s complaint but ignore mine.
And, you may want to actually read those links up there.
Chiang, good luck trying to get a response out of Matt if you try. I’ve been waiting for nearly a year. Matt puts it up to “email problems on my end” although it’s funny he seems to be the only one I have issues with. He’ll probably just ban your account though instead of dealing with any complaint.
