Poll: Do you think that the shade of blue used on the ACS (Independent) Website is ‘dull’, ‘dirty’ &/or ‘pale’?
The Student Handbook has errors too, no prizes for spotting them. The cheers booklet front cover nearly passes, but the “&” symbol is cut off by the line. That’s a borderline fail.
It’s not Myriad Pro, I think.
Electron configuration of atoms is a very fun topic, when you have a decent teacher teaching it. Especially when you’re only supposed to be ‘introduced’ to it so you won’t have to go into all the gory details, just those that you find fun.
I’m very much behind in my reading, having been interested in other areas, like digging up this probably 20-year-old Audiolab 8000A, Bose AcoustiMass AM-5, and accompanying unmentionable cables. After a evening and night of wire stripping, soldering, testing, and resoldering, I’ve finally got a lousy minijack (3.5mm) to RCA cable working, having sacrificed one audio cable and a set of earphones.
The effort and time’s so worth it, especially since it’s sitting next to my old Altec Lansing ACS90 desktop speakers. There was some trouble about ground loop-caused hum but somehow it got fixed, accidentally or with divine intervention.
Happy me. Yes, maybe Bose speakers mightn’t be the best in your opinion, but they’re good enough for me right now. Aegos can come when they do.
Recently, I learnt what an annoyance (and what thoughts can be invoked) when someone approaches you to bounce off an idea, perhaps seek assistance, then go off, then snub you when you try to figure out whether you’re actually needed or wanted around. That’s definitely a learning point. I’ll try and avoid that, if I can.
Great 周记 fodder.
After meeting some long-lost friends, I had a bout of dreams and nightmares, all seemingly unrelated to them. Since then, I haven’t had enough quality sleep to even remember sleeping.
COMPSERV | CST’s Recruitment 2007 is on tomorrow (or today in few minutes), and this time, it’s very much structured. We hope for the best.
